Support Our Seminarians
My Dear Friends,
God has blessed our Diocese with 37 seminarians preparing for the priesthood, including 19 new men in just the past two years. Each carries the hope of one day standing at the altar, proclaiming the Gospel, and serving you as your priest. But they cannot make that journey alone.
The Holy Spirit calls these men and sustains their vocation, and the Lord invites us to share in His work. Through your prayers, accompaniment, and generosity, you help make their formation possible.
This is not an investment in buildings or programs, but in people — men who, by God’s grace and with your support, will one day baptize our children, preach the Gospel, hear our confessions, and bring the Eucharist to our communities. Formation is also a real cost: $70,000 each year for each seminarian.
These men have set aside careers, comforts, and personal ambitions so they can dedicate their lives to Christ and His Church. In turn, we must provide what they need for this journey:
I am deeply grateful to those who have already given so generously. If you have not yet had the chance, I invite you to join them. To the extent you are able, please make a gift today at bridgeportpriest.org/give.
If now is not the right time for you to give financially, I ask you to continue to keep our seminarians in your prayers, that the Holy Spirit may strengthen them as they prepare for a lifetime of service.
Be assured of my prayers for you and your family.
Sincerely in Christ,
Most Reverend Frank J. Caggiano
Bishop of Bridgeport

- A place to call home and meals each day
- Books and education to prepare them for ministry
- Health care and essential support for daily life
